Getting Started
Who Can Become A Referrer?
Anyone. No recruiting background, no application, no vetting. If you know people who would be right for crypto or AI roles, you can refer them.
Do I Need Experience In Recruitment?
No. If you know the person, that is the qualification. You are not selling, not interviewing, not negotiating.
Does It Cost Anything?
Nothing. The bounty comes out of the fee DeFinitive charges the hiring company, so there is no cost to you or to the person you refer.
Payments
How Much Can I Earn Per Referral?
No upper cap. Bounties are set per role and shown on every job before you share. Typical placements pay around £5,000 as an example, bigger roles pay bigger bounties, and there is no limit on how many you can refer.
When Do I Get Paid?
After your referral passes their probation period with the hiring company, and a short guarantee window clears. Exact timing depends on the role, but most probations run for three months.
How Am I Paid?
Stablecoin on-chain (Ethereum, Base, or Solana) or bank transfer. You pick at the point of payout, no need to decide upfront.
Do I Need To Set Up Payment Details Before Referring?
No. Payment details are only needed once your referral is hired. You can refer people today with nothing set up.
What Happens If My Referral Leaves During Probation?
The payout is voided. This is standard practice, it protects the hiring company and it keeps the programme sustainable. You will be notified with the reason in your dashboard.
Referrals & Attribution
How Do You Know My Friend Came From Me?
Your invite link is tied to your profile. When your friend opens it and confirms the referral on the welcome screen, both events are recorded against you.
What If Two People Refer The Same Person?
First to refer wins. Every link creation is timestamped.
What If My Friend Is Hired For A Different Role?
You still get paid, at the bounty amount of whichever role they are hired into. Your attribution travels with the candidate.
What Counts As An Interview?
A formal interview with the hiring client. Our internal screening calls do not count. Attribution locks in when the client interview happens.
What If My Friend Does Not Want To Be Referred?
They click "I do not know this person" on the welcome screen and proceed without attribution. No hard feelings, no drama. You will not be notified either way.
Can I Refer Myself?
No. If the candidate email matches your email, attribution is dropped silently. You can still apply to roles on DeFinitive, you just will not earn a bounty on your own hire.
What If My Friend Applies Directly Without My Link?
They would not be attributed to you. Attribution requires them to arrive through your link and confirm the referral on the welcome screen. Send them the link, not just the job URL.
Disputes, Account, Privacy
What If I Disagree With A Decision About My Payout?
Open a dispute from your dashboard, or tap "Message Nathan on Telegram" from the floating help button. Nathan Darnell has final say on disputes.
What Do You Do With My Data?
We store your name, email, payment details, and referral activity. We use it to run the programme and nothing else. Candidates you refer consent separately to their own data being processed.
Can I Close My Account?
Yes. Settings, then Close Account. Personal data is removed and historical referrals are kept as anonymised records for audit. Pending payouts are voided, approved payouts are still paid out.
